Cathay Pacific is the first airline to open a dedicated check-in service at Shenzhen’s recently upgraded Shekou Cruise Home Port ferry terminal. This provides customers from the Pearl River Delta region a convenient one-stop service for baggage drop, boarding and lounge pass issuance, customs and immigration facilities in one location. The Pearl River Delta region covers Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Foshan, Huizhou, Jiangmen and Zhaoqing as well as the Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macau.

Upon arrival at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), customers can step straight from the ferry to their Cathay Pacific or Cathay Dragon flight or relax at one of the airline’s lounges before boarding. There will not be any need to clear immigration, customs or collect your baggage and re-check in at HKIA.

In 2005, the Hong Kong airline launched its first ever “upstream” check-in service in Shekou to provide a seamless connection between the Pearl River Delta region and its international flights departing from Hong Kong. These new check-in counters offers more convenience for the customer.

Cathay Pacific and Shenzhen CMSK International Cruise Home Port will jointly develop service promotions, marketing and cruise products. The airline is offering sea-to-air bundles fares from the Pearl River Delta region to a number of its destinations in Asia, Europe and the United States via its hub in Hong Kong.
