Star Wars have been making headlines this week. First it was the Chase Star Wars credit card that was launched late last week in the U.S. and now All Nippon Airways (ANA) launches two more new Star Wars themed planes.
The livery will feature the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens character BB-8 on one Boeing 777-300ER aircraft and the BB-8 with R2-D2 together on a Boeing 767-300 aircraft.
These two planes will join previously announced R2-D2 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The three Star Wars planes will fly international and domestic routes.
On 18 October 2015, the R2-D2 ANA Jet is scheduled to go into service as flight NH116 between Tokyo and Vancouver and then fly between Japan an other cities in ANA’s international network including Seattle and San Jose; Munich, Paris and Brussels; Sydney, Beijing and Jakarta.
In November, the Star Wars ANA plane will fly domestic Japanese routes and in March 2016, the BB-8 ANA plane is scheduled to serve international routes between Japan and North America.
You can check the plane’s schedules at www.ana-sw.com.
The airline will be the first in the world to offer all six Star Wars films as in-flight entertainment on its international flights.
