Japanese airline All Nippon Airways is reportedly planning to acquire three Airbus A380 jets and will likely use them for flights to and from Hawaii.
As part of the five star Japanese airline’s international expansion plans, the aircraft is believed to be delivered in 2018.
Based on current market prices, the purchase would be worth around US$1.23 billion.
ANA will be the first Japanese airline to purchase the A380. It joins other A380 operators Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways, Korean Airlines, Asiana and Qantas in Asia Pacific.
