ANA Demon Slayer Livery

ANA Aircraft featuring DEMON SLAYER To Take Off January 2022

All Nippon Airways will be delighting fans of anime TV series “Demon Slayer” through a special limited promotion. An aircraft will be specially painted with characters from the show. The airline will offer Demon Slayer-themed paper cups and special paper toys for children on domestic flights. The collaboration will last a year from 1 December 2021. Episodes of the show will also be available on the airline’s inflight entertainment on domestic and international flights.

The TV anime series based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, published by Shueisha Jump Comics. It has sold over 150 million copies in its first 23 volumes. The story is about a boy named Tanjiro Kamado, whose family has been killed by demons. Tanjiro becomes a demon slayer in order to bring his sister, who has been turned into a demon, back to human form. It has gained popularity for its story, and has become a hit series not only in Japan but all over the world. From October 16, 2020, “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train” which is the continuation of the TV animation was released as a theatrical animation. The new TV animation series will be broadcasted from 5 December 2021.

Demon Slayer Jet Design

ANA will paint a B767-300ER with aircraft registration number JA616A to feature the Demon Slayer livery. The design will feature the characters of the anime. The Star Alliance member airline will introduce the new livery from the end of January 2022 on domestic flights. On board the aircraft, guests will see a limited edition headrest cover while cabin attendants will don aprons featuring the characters. The anime characters will make unique inflight announcements. The airline hasn’t decided on the design and aircrat type for the second jet. The plan is to enter service within this fiscal year. There will be a scenic flight in the future.

Specially designed in-flight paper cups and toys

Look out for these specially designed cups and a variety of 18 paper toys for children. ANA will roll them out on domestic flights in economy class only from 1 December 2021.

Inflight Entertainment

ANA is making 26 episodes of the Demon Slayer TV anime sereies available on its inflight entertainment. Guests can also listen to 5 songs from the TV anime series original soundtrack and the Demon Slayer orchestra concert. The content will vary depending on the flying time.

ANA & Demon Slayer Special Goods

Customers flying on ANA domestic flights cna take part in a lottery. The lottery registration period is from 15 November 2021 to 31 January 2022. The firsst round will be for a set of 5 badges for 1,000 customers. Boarding period is from 1 December 2021 to 31 January 2022. Details in Japanese only here.
