Amari Havodda Maldives has opened in the pristine Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll featuring 120 villas amidst tropical greenery, turquoise lagoons and white sandy beaches. The resort is located approximately 400km south of the capital Male.
Guests can enjoy diving, snorkelling and underwater discovery as the island is surrounded by a pristine house reef featuring spectacular coral zones and marine habitats. The resort also has one of the largest infinity pools in the Maldives.
The architectural detailing and interiors based on the concept of ‘natural simplicity’ are by Singapore-based French designer Isabelle Miaja. The resort was constructed and completed in 14 months. It is the fastest hotel to be built and completed in the Maldives.
The villas offer either a beachfront or overwater option. They range in size from 77 to 153 square metres. Each villa offers king beds overlooking the ocean, tropical outdoor covered bathrooms, free standing bathtubs, double vanities and separate outdoor and indoor rain showers and an outdoor terrace. Villas also come with a 40 inch high definition interactive television, DVD player, desktop HDMI plug and play panel and bedside USB power chargers.
Amari Havodda Maldives reflects the warmth and energy of an evolving modern Asia with features such as the market-style Amaya Food Gallery, Breeze Spa and contemporary space for sharing with loved ones, family and friends.
Amaya Food Gallery is an all-day dining pavilion inspired by the street food culture of Asia. Regional and international dishes are offered over breakfast, lunch and dinner in a market-style venue. There is also an interactive restaurant at the island’s north shore. Ember Robayataki specialises in the Japanese culinary tradition of fireside cooking. Thari Bar, the resort’s main bar overlooks the infinity pool and features a selection of cocktails and canapes.
