At the 100 Aloft Hotels in 15 countries around the world, it is about a vibrant experience and a modern style that is different by design. The brand is a tech-forward company and launches its latest initiative – Aloft TiGi (Text It. Get It.) Emoji Room Service. This is the world’s first emoji-only room service menu. Previously Aloft also hired a robot Botlr for both back and front of house duties, as well as took part in the SPG Keyless initiative which replaced the traditional key card with your smartphone. It also piloted Apple TV services, mobile-controlled guest experiences amongst others.
Launching in the newly opened Aloft Manhattan Downtown – Financial District in New York City, guests here can text an emoji of what they want to the hotel’s front desk and the delivery is made within minutes.
There are six specialty kits in the Aloft TiGi Emoji Room Service menu. Choose one of the six and send a text message to the hotel’s dedicated TiGi number and include your room number. You get a confirmation via text before the order gets processed. The kits start at US$10 and are charged to your room bill.
Now isn’t this cute.
