Singapore Airshow 2014 Boeing Showcase

The Singapore Airshow kicks off next week and Boeing is set to make a presence in Singapore.

Qatar Airways will be taking part here for the first time. One of its nine Boeing 787 Dreamliners will be showcased on static display from 11 to 14 February at the Changi Exhibition Centre. Qatar Airways’ Dreamliner features cleaner air, dimmable windows and more spacious seating spaces. The aircraft has 254 seats offering 22 flat-bed seats in Business Class in a 1-2-1 configuration and 232 seats in Economy in a 3-3-3 layout. Passengers get to enjoy more than 1,000 movies, programming and audio entertainment with Qatar Airways’ iTouch touch control unit, an iPort, USB port, remote data outlet in all classes of travel. Qatar has been serving Singapore for a decade and operates 14 flights between Singapore and Doha.

SilkAir collected its first Boeing aircraft the 737-800 from Seattle yesterday marking its transition to an all 737 fleet. This new aircraft will be on display at the Singapore Airshow.

Also on static display will include military aircraft such as F-15SG (RSAF), V-22 Osprey, C-17 Globemaster III, P-8A Poseidon, AH-64 Apache, CH-47 Chinook, ScanEagle, Weapons and AH-6i. The F/A18F Super Hornet will be in flying display.
