AirAsia Launches Daily Direct Flights to Medan & Surabaya from Singapore

AirAsia will be introducing twice daily direct flights between Singapore and Medan and daily flights to Surabaya from 15 August 2013. These two new additions brings the number of direct destinations from Singapore to 17. AirAsia also recently announced earlier this month its new route between Singapore and Makassar.

QZ665 departs Singapore at 12.15pm arriving in Medan at 12.35pm while QZ669 departs Singapore at 8.55pm and arrives in Medan at 9.15pm. QZ664 departs Medan at 9.20am arriving in Singapore at 11.45am while QZ668 departs Medan at 6pm arriving in Singapore at 8.25pm.

QZ8502 departs Singapore at 11.10am arriving in Surabaya at 12.20pm while QZ8501 departs Surabaya at 7.30am arriving in Singapore at 10.40am.

AirAsia Indonesia contributes around 20% of total Indonesia sectors to Changi Airport with 244 flights between the two countries. AirAsia currently flies direct from Singapore to eight Indonesian cities including Bali, Jakarta, Semarang, Yogjakarta, Bandung, Makassar, Surabaya and Medan.

The airline also flies direct to Clark (Philippines), six Malaysian cities including Kota Kinabalu Kuala Lumpur, Kuching, Langkawi, Miri, Penang and Thailand’s Phuket and Bangkok.

AirAsia is offering one-way promotional fares from S$60 (basic fare excluding taxes, fuel surcharge and other fees) to Medan and S$65 to Surabaya. These discounted fares are available for booking on airasia.com from now till 23 June 2013 for travel between 15 August to 30 September 2013.
