Air MOS Rice Burger Served Onboard Select Japan Airlines Flights

28 May 2012, Singapore – Meals on board flights can sometimes be exciting for the adventurous, especially when the airline collaborates with either celebrity chefs or brands that you can associate with.

That’s what Japan Airines (JAL) is doing with their second year collaboration with MOS Burger.    This burger is adapted from MOS Burgers popular MOS Rice Burger Kinpira where buns are replaced with steamed rice patties.  The filling includes burdock, lotus root, carrot, oyster mushrooms, black sesame and Japanese chilli pepper, sauteed in a light soy sauce and sweet miso paste.

Last year, between June and November, the airline served its first MOS Burger on board – the MOS Burger’s trademark Teriyaki Beef Burger.  Ever since then JAL has decided to cooperate with various well-known Japanese restaurants and food chains to bring familiar flavours onboard.

From 1 June to 31 August 2012, the new JAL Original version of MOS Burger known as the Air MOS Rice Burger will be served onboard select flights to Europe and U.S.  It will be served in Premium Economy and Economy Class during a second meal service and will also be available to First and Executive Class customers anytime during the flight as part of the “Anytime You Wish” service.
