10 July 2014 is the finalised date that Air France will launch its inaugural fights between Singapore and Jakarta. The daily flights will be operated on a Boeing 777-300 with a four-class configuration accommodating 8 in the La Première cabin, 67 in Business Class, 28 in Premium Economy Class and 200 in Economy Class.
Air France flight AF254 departs Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 7.20pm and arrives in Singapore at 2.15pm. It departs Singapore at 4.55pm and arrives in Jakarta at 5.35pm.
AF259 departs Jakarta at 7.30pm and arrives in Singapore at 10.25pm. It departs Singapore at 12.25am and arrives at Paris Charles de Gaulle at 7.55am the next day.
The French airline will be the only airline to offer premium economy on this short route. Air France joins KLM which flies daily from Amsterdam-Schipol via Kuala Lumpur.
Air France is offering a promotional all-in fare of S$149 which can be purchased before 30 June 2014 for travel between 10 July and 31 December 2014.
Timing doesn’t make much sense. SIN-Jakarta is often a business commuter route, and the outbound timing from Singapore means you’re staying an extra night in Jakarta. There’s plenty of other options that get you there first thing in the morning.
