As part of the Transform 2015 plan, Air France plans to replace 2,102 business class seats on 44 long-haul Boeing 777 aircraft with a new cocoon design from June this year to summer of 2016.
The new seats are designed for more comfort and freedom with a fully flat seat bed and direct aisle access for every passenger. Business Class passengers will also be able to enjoy over 1,000 hours of entertainment on the 16-inch high-definition touch screen. The entertainment system has a completely redesigned user interface available in 12 languages. All the seats will come with a padded headboard, adjustable soft leather headrest, space and multiple storage areas close to you, duvet and XXL feather down pillow. Other features include touch screen handset, electrical outlet, USB port and new noise-reduction headphones.
The cocoon shell gives passengers more privacy providing a true bubble of privacy in the sky. These seats are developed in collaboration with makers of aircraft seats, Zodiac Aeros-pace and designed by Mark Collins of Design Investment and Brandimage.
