22 November 2010, Singapore – Yahoo! launch their new Messenger 11 Beta trial in Singapore and 24 other countries today. You can download the beta version here. This new Instant Messaging (IM) is built as a real-time communication hub at the center of your online life, to keep in touch, play and share with your family and friends, no matter where you are in the world. Yahoo! Messenger is on readily built mobile versions on major mobile platforms such as iPhone, Android and Blackberry. This means that you will always be connected even when you are away from your desk and downloading third-party built IM applications are no longer required.
Yahoo! Messenger is enhanced for Android allowing people to take advantage of popular features currently available on its desktop experience:
- Make free video calls from Android devices across a Wi-Fi network to Messenger friends’ lists. (Video is in Beta. It requires OS 2.2+ and Yahoo! Messenger Video Add-on.)
- Android Sync allows you to easily share photos and videos, and sync Yahoo! Address Book contacts with your Android contact list.

Play Social Games With Friends
- “Instant Gaming” – You can now play popular social games with friends such as Zynga’s FishVille or Mafia Wars, Elex’s Happy Harvest or Happy Manor and OMGPOP’s Balloon, Pool, Draw My Thing directly within Yahoo! Messenger.
- Get Your Friends Involved – Share game activities and status so that others can join your game and you can join theirs.
Manage Social Networks from One Place
- One status message for social networks – You can share your Messenger status on Yahoo! Pulse and social networks like Facebook and Twitter, simultaneously.
- Facebook Chat – In addition to chatting with Windows Live friends, interoperability with Facebook Chat allows people to instantly connect and IM with their Facebook friends.
- Status Updates – You can view, comment on and like real-time updates from Yahoo! Pulse, Flickr, Facebook – and soon Twitter – all from one place.
Stay Connected – Anytime, Anywhere
- Always Be Available – You can now stay signed in to multiple PCs simultaneously so you never miss a message through a new Multiple-Points-of-Presence (MPOP) offering in Yahoo! Messenger Beta.
- Easy Access to Recent Conversations– You can now retrieve recent IM conversations no matter where you access Yahoo! Messenger on the PC.
