Xiaomi Redmi 3 was unveiled in Beijing today featuring a new look and upgraded features from its predecessor. The Redmi 3 features a 4,100 mAh battery, a full metal body, all new lattice design made up of 4166 stars woven together to reflect an arrangement of diamonds, measures only 8.5mm and weighs 144grammes.
This smartphone will be available in China at Mi.com and Tmall for RMB699 from 12 January 2016. There will be three colours to choose from.
The 4100mAh battery has an increased battery density of 144 grammes. This means that you get an additional talktime compared to the Redmi 3’s predecessor by 80%. You can now charge the phone faster with the 5V/2A fast charging support.
Redmi 3 comes with MIUI 7 operating system as well as two SIM card slots as well as 16GB internal storage. The additional SIM card slot doubles as a microSD card slot for up to 128GB in capacity.
