The Sony Xperia C3 Camera
The Sony Xperia C3 features a five megapixel wide-angle camera (25 mm with 80 degree field of view), a unique soft flash that allows you to take flattering photos anytime of the day by double tapping the back cover or using the Smile Shutter function, easy sharing of photos in three clicks. The front camera has a Superior Auto mode that automatically adjusts to suitable lighting conditions with auto scene recognition. Photos can be taken in HDR and with LED flash.
Useful Apps on the Sony Xperia C3
Useful apps that come with the Xperia C3 include AR Effect, Portrait Retouch and Superior Auto. AR Effect lets you add fun graphics and animations such as pirate hats, horror faces and laser eyes to your selfies and videos while Portrait Retouch lets you have a real-time makeover of up to two people from 10 different beauty styles, 10 DECO frame options and magic beam for six eye reflection pattern changes. Superior Auto works on both main and front cameras. It auto recognises four scene types on the front camera and up to 36 scenes by the main camera. It adjusts the settings automatically. HDR is automatically turned on or off depending on your scene. The Social Live app lets you share every moment as it happens live via Facebook.
The Xperia C3 comes with an impressive eight megapixel main camera which features an Exmor RS for mobile imaging sensor.
Other Features of the Sony Xperia C3
The Xperia C3 dual SIM smartphone supports 4G/LTE networks with up to a download speed 150Mbos or 50Mbps for uploading. It is powered by Snapdragon Quad-core 1.2Ghz processor and has 1GB RAM and 8GB Flash Memory. Its dimensions are 156 x 78.5 x 7.6mm and runs on the Google Android 4.4 (KitKat) operating system. The smartphone weighs 150 grammes and is only 7.6mm thin and features a 5.5″ HD IPS display optimsed with BRAVIA technology.
How Long Is the Battery Life
The Xperia C3 comes with a 2500mAh battery which offers up to 24 hours of talk time and up to 1,071 hours of standby time. It also offers up to 93 hours of music listening time or up to 10 hours of video playback time. There is also the Battery STAMINA Mode 3.0 feature which helps you get additional battery life. We have not tested out the smartphone yet so we cannot really comment on the battery life.
Availability
The Xperia C3 will be launched in August 2014 starting with China as the first launch market. It will be available in black, white and mint. There is not price and availability date for Singapore and the time of publishing this article.
UPDATE: The Sony Xperia C3 will be available exclusively at SingTel only in Singapore at a recommended retail price of S$468 from 30 August 2014.
