Sony breaks the benchmark for point & shoot cameras again with the all new Sony RX10. Equipped with a 1″ CMOS sensor and a Carl Zeiss 24-200mm constant f2.8 lens this RX10 is a wide angel to telephoto powerhouse in a compact body. But this is no cheap camera, as reported by dpreview.com, the RX10 will be retailing at US$1,300 in the U.S.. It will be available end November at selected Sony Stores, Sony Centres and authorised dealers in Singapore.
RX10 may not be compact when you compare it with RX100 or the full frame RX1. But when compared to a dSLR equipped with a 70-200mm constant f2.8 lens plus an additional 24~70mm constant f2.8 lens, the RX10’s size is only peanuts and super compact. And there is no need to change lens at all! Just turn it on and shoot.
Featuring NFC and WiFi connectivity, as well as Full HD video recording with manual control, the Sony RX10 will be the right companion for you when travelling light and yet you want to takes good pictures and videos while sharing them instantaneously on-the-go.
