Like most competing models, B&O BeoPlay N3 ANC does look very cool. After all, we are referring to a new piece by Bang & Olufsen! It is an extremely dear pair of Premium Active Noise Cancellation in-ear headphone.
What makes it unique that a piece could daringly command S$379? From a probable standpoint, the sophisticated engineering behind the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology may be one of the many reasons. So far, so strange, the ANC’s body becomes this bulky, cyclical and cumbersome piece of electronic medium that needs periodic charging in order to attain 20 hours of continuous playtime (without noise). And frankly, very few could tell, except perhaps the Wolverine and his pack of cousins with dynamic hearing. However, should the ANC go flat on power, the Bang & Olufsen Signature Sound will replace and reign supreme as always.
For the sake of observation:
- The ear buds are outright weighty and vigorous head movements might drop these dolts
- The volume has a moderate range, so the blasting of music may not be felt
- And most ingeniously, the sound-heads cannot be hung around the neck, so it is quite troublesome to keep, if time-out
The B&O BeoPlay H3 ANC is not created for those who like overblown bass, but it is an all-rounder earphone suited for a more natural and balanced audio experience. If you are a B&O fan, and you have that extra cash to spare, you can consider this decent set headphones for your collection.
