PHICOMM is a Shanghai-based manufacturer of networking and communications products. Yesterday it launched their latest flagship Android smartphone, P660, at CommunicAsia 2015 in Singapore.
The PHICOMM P660 is packed with premium hardware and framed in a lightweight aluminum-magnesium alloy chassis. This new smart phone is targeted at the upwardly mobile users who like to keep the price affordable and another option to consider outside of Xiaomi’s range of affordable devices.
The unibody design and wear-proof polycarbonate shell has a premium sporty feel. It is only 7.3mm thin and weighs 110grams, making it a sleek device to carry around. The P660 gives a stunning and rich graphic experience with the built-in with Qualcomm Adreno 405 graphics processing unit (GPU), coupled with Direct X 9.3 and OpenGL ES 3.0 application program interface (API) support. The 5” Full HD display features a resolution of 1920 x 1080 at 441 PPI that brings sharp and crisp images to life. The capacitive screen functionality enables a hassle-free use of screen with either wet fingers or gloves on hands.
The P660 comes with a built-in 13-megapixel camera using the SONY Stacked CMOS IMX214 sensor with f2.0 and 5 megapixel camera front camera with 84° wide-angle lens, making it a versatile & decent to take selfie for all occasions. The only concern is, will PHICOMM provide and update to upgrade the firmware from Android Kit Kat 4.4.4 to Lollipop 5.0.
Retailing at S$318, the P660 is now available in Black, and is sold in Singapore via the PHICOMM showroom in Suntec City and online store at www.phicommasia.com.
