With M1 Data Passport Service, M1 customers can now roam using their existing M1 data bundles in six destinations including Indonesia (XL), Japan (Softbank), Malaysia (Celcom), Saudi Arabia (Etisalat-Mobility), Sri Lanka (Dialog Axiata) and the United States (T-Mobils) at a monthly subscription of S$10 per countries.
If you exceed your data bundle, a charge of S$10.70 per GB capped at S$188.32 per month will be charged.
There is a S$2 one-time activation fee or S$5 for multi-SIM customers.
The new free Network Lock feature also protects you from unintended usage and charges while roaming overseas. This will be provisioned progressively in the coming weeks.
The network lock feature is also activated on an additional ten destinations offering S$15 a day unlimited data roaming. These 10 destinations include Bangladesh (Robi), Cambodia (SMART), China (China Mobile), Hong Kong and Macau (SmarTone), India (IDEA Cellular), Philipines (SMART), Taiwan (Chunghwa Telecom) and Thailand (DTAC).
