JBL Free In Ear Bluetooth Headphones – My Travel Companion

Wireless in-ear headphones. That’s always been something that I have been looking for. No hassle of untangling the wires or unnecessary gadgets to keep the wires neatly untangled. So when JBL sent me the JBL Free Bluetooth headphones in March, I brought it with me on my trips to Europe, Russia and even to Suzhou & Shanghai.

Connecting it to my iPad mini, I could tune in to listen to downloaded music from Spotify or catch up on episodes of series or movies while flying or whenever I was back in the hotel room or while cruising down the Rhine from Amsterdam to Frankfurt on U by Uniworld’s The A.

Connecting the headphones to any device by bluetooth isn’t that complicated. Even if a tech goondu like me can do it, I am pretty sure, most people wouldn’t have any problems pairing it. In most cases, I always have to figure out which earpiece is for which side, I am just glad that JBL has indicated clearly on each earpiece whether it is for the left or ride ear.

Whilst the JBL Free also allows you to pick up calls, I have not used that function yet. I prefer to Whatsapp anyway.

It is also designed for people with an active lifestyle or while you are out in the gym or jogging and is splash proof. With a full charge, you can enjoy four hours of continuous listening plus another 20 hours of backup from the smart charging case.

Overall, the JBL Free has become an integral part of my travels. It fits snugly and is comfortable even while listening to soothing music while trying to fall asleep on a flatbed airline seat.

The JBL Free is available in white or black at S$249.
