Great for Photography

The P10 carries the new Leica Dual-Camera 2.0 while the P10 Plus’s Leica Dual-Camera 2.0 Pro Edition both have a 20-megapixel monochrome sensor, a 12-megapixel RGB sensor and 8-megapixel Leica front camera to deliver superior technical and artistic photography features. Its 3D facial detection technology, dynamic illumination and portrait enhancements ensure you get great photos. Natural bokeh can be created to offer sharper, clearer and more vivid colours in the foreground while the background remains blurred.

The P10 Plus’s Leica Dual-Camera 2.0 Pro Edition comes with the new SUMMILUX-H Leica lenses with a larger F/1.8 Aperture and higher optical capability.

Highlights, a mobile editing tool co-developed with GoPro, which creates a dynamic video of users’ images and videos, have been incorporated into both phone models.

Finishing

The P10 features the industry’s first Hyper Diamond-Cut finishing on a smartphone. It is sandblasted and has a high gloss finish. Both models are available in a selection of colours including Dazzling Blue and the Pantone Colour of the Year 2017, Greenery. The Hyper Diamond-Cut finish will be available in Dazzling Blue and Dazzling Gold. Greenery, Rose Gold, Mystic Silver, Graphite Black and Prestige Gold will be available with a sandblast finish, and Ceramic White will be available in high gloss.

The Huawei P10 Plus has a 2K display.

Many have complained about the fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone below the camera which often times blurs out the camera with fingerprints. Huawei has taken that into account and shifted the fingerprint sensor to the front of the phone under one continuous pane of glass. The fingerprint sensor also replaces the navigation bar making the screen view larger.

Performance

The P10 and P10 Plus are powered by a Kirin 960 processor and the all new EMUI 5.1. The Huawei Ultra Memory learns how you use your phone and anticipates app usage and manages RAM. This means the most utilised apps and services will load faster and outperform in multitasking. EMUI 5.1 improves touch response with a faster touch control driver, predictive touch tracking and parallel graphics rendering.

The 3,200 and 3,750 mAh batteries are supported by Huawei SuperCharge technology, a low voltage, low temperature, fast charing that comes with a safe 5-gate protection mechanism, offering real-time voltage, current and temperature monitoring.

The P10 Plus features 4×4 MIMO. That’s four physical antennas to support 4.5G network. Both smartphones feature 2×2 Wi-Fi MIMO (two antennas) for fast Wi-Fi speed coverage.
