Felicia Chin appointed as brand ambassador for Olympus XZ-1

 

14 November 2011, Singapore – Olympus today announced the appointment of well-known personality, Felicia Chin as the brand amabassador for its award-winning Olympus XZ-1 pocket-sized digital camera.

Having taken an 18-month break to-date, Felicia, who is currently taking a break from acting to pursue her Business Studies degree at the National University of Singapore, have another year and a half to go for her studies. Felicia aims to keep in touch with her friends and fans via various social media platforms and was looking for a “fast” compact digital camera, which will enable her to capture life’s interesting moments wherever she goes, and one that is easy to carry around. Olympus got wind of Felicia’s wish and stepped forward to work with her via this year-long partnership.

“Olympus XZ-1 gives me exactly what I want – beautiful pictures and creations that speak volumes about the world around me,” said Felicia Chin.

 

 

The “Felicia Chin & XZ-1” campaign

Olympus will embark on an integrated marketing campaign for the Olympus XZ-1 featuring Felicia Chin. Besides using social media platforms to encapsulate the increasing diverse target audiences, Olympus will also be using traditional media, such as print advertising and with newspapers and magazines, product leaflets, in-shop POS materials, and events to convey the attributes of the XZ-1.

The Olympus XZ-1 is the flagship model in the brand’s compact digital camera line-up, featuring outstanding picture performance that comes close to SLR quality in a slim profile and high-quality finish. In April 2011, the outstanding qualities of the Olympus XZ-1 were formally recognised as the “Best Expert Compact Camera” at the TIPA Awards 2011 and also won the prestigious Red Dot Design award 2011.
