SingTel and Stardard Chartered Bank today announced their collaboration on a mobile app service called Dash, where it is set to revolutionise mobile commerce and banking solutions by giving an “update” to they way we use our cash, apply our loans and much more. The Dash Singapore app is compatible with Android smartphones (OS versions 4.1.2 and above) and Apple devices (IOS versions 6 and above).
Dash offers three mobile solutions to consumers at launch:
Dash Easy:
- You can easily download cash to your mobile phone to make payment for your purchases or instantly transfer funds to your friends with a swipe on the phone
- No queuing and withdrawing cash from ATMs
- Transfer or pay up to S$999 for a single transaction
- You do not need to have an existing Standard Chartered Bank savings account to use Dash, a new Standard Chartered account will be issued to you upon signing up for Dash
- Earn a higher interest rate of up to 1% p.a. just by hashtagging #needsanupdate on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
- Dash Easy is available to all subscribers of all local mobile operators that includes SingTel, M1 and StarHub
- Over 20,000 acceptance points in taxis and shops across Singapore will be progressively rolled out in 2014

Dash Advance:
- A personal loan facility which you can apply through your mobile phone at any time and anywhere
- Get approval in under 60 seconds
- Through the mobile app, upload photos of your supporting documents, and see your monthly repayment amount dynamically when you indicate the desired loan amount and repayment period
- Get an advance of up to 4X monthly salary or maximum S$200,000
- Get interest rates as low as 4.98% p.a. (effective interest rate of 9.21%)
Dash Abroad:
- A customisable mobile travel insurance service which offers you the flexibility to pick and choose coverage options to meet their needs while on the go
- Basic plan starting from as low as S$20
