This morning at CES 2014 in Las Vegas, Sony showcased their new flagship premium smartphone Sony Xperia Z1 Compact which packs the power and premium features from Xperia Z1 into a compact form with no compromise on the flagship features. Sony also announced their first SmartWear device, SmartBand, which help users to log daily activities and representing them visually in Sony’s Lifelog application.

The new Xperia Z1 Compact will be available globally from February 2014 in four vibrant colours Black, White, Lime and Pink. Featuring Sony’s award winning G Lens, 20.7 MP Exmor RS for mobile CMOS image sensor and BIONZ for mobile image processing engine the Xperia Z1 Compact has the world’s best camera in a compact and waterproof design.
Movie and picture playback will be immersive and vibrant with 4.3” TRILUMINOS HD Display for mobile with X-Reality for mobile. Switching to Sony device have also made easy with the new Xperia Transfer Mobile app that seamlessly & Swiftly transfer your contacts, photos, bookmarks, apps, messages and much more from your old iOS or Android smartphone to your new Sony Xperia smartphone without the need of a computer.

Sony also underlined its commitment to the rapidly evolving wearable technology market. In addition to smartphones, Sony is outlining its new SmartWear Experience vision – an upcoming range of SmartWear products, with Xperia smartphones, and a new Lifelog application.
Standing for flexibility, the first product in the range is “SmartBand”. It offers life empowerment by logging daily activities and representing them visually in Sony’s Lifelog application: users can reminisce at the past, make the best of the present and plan for the future.
