Canon’s latest EOS M50 mirrorless camera is powered by a new DIGIC 8 image processor offering outstanding image quality of up to 24.1 megapixels. The new camera features 4k video, an improved Dual Pixel CMOS AF, and excellent precision focusing under low light conditions, Touch & Drag AF and a built-in 2.36 million dot Electrical Viewfinder. You can also transfer your images to mobile devices automatically. The normal ISO speed of 25,600 is expandable to 51,200.
Now you can just carry a camera that is not too big, heavy and cumbersome for your next vacation. The enhanced 4k movie shooting function with contrast-detection autofocus, you can produce footage four times the resolution of full HD with exceptional depth and quality. Save photos from the video with the 4K Frame Grab function. There is also a dedicated time-lapse movie setting for you to capture 4K time-lapse footage. The Combination IS setting helps reduce camera shake during movie shooting. The EOS M50’s built-in five-axis stabilisation feature ensures that you are able to enjoy seamless and resolute video capture, even with non-IS lenses. Shoot in a high frame rate of HD120p to render rich slow-motion movement and expression when played back.
This model comes with an improved Dual Pixel CMOS AF covering up to 143 AF points when a compatible lens is attached. The Touch & Drag AF feature allows you to easily switch the subject of their focus by dragging the AF frame directly on the LCD panel even while composing a shot through the camera’s EVF. You can shoot approximately 10fps in one shot AF and 7.4fps in Servo AF.
This model is the first in the EOS M series with a Vari-angle LCD monitor so you can shoot from high and low angles easily. Yes! No need to lie on the floor anymore to try see the LCD monitor when shooting from very low angles.
The EOS M50 is available in Black or White with accompanying accessories such as compatible jackets and straps for everyday usage.
The EOS M50 will be available in three kit options: EF-M15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM kit, EF-M15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM + EF-M55-200mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM kit and body only.
