ASUS Transformer Book Trio will be debuting in Singapore from 2 November 2013. This new hybrid device offers the flexibility of a Laptop, Tablet or Desktop while it is also the one of the first to market Windows 8 and Android duo operating system (OS) device in Singapore. So it consolidates and organises all your devices into one ultra-portable device. ASUS Transformer Book Trio will be priced at S$1,698 and S$1,998 for the 4th Generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors respectively, monitor display not included.
The Trio features a sleek and durable metallic chassis, running on an Intel Atom processor on the Tablet and a separate 4th Generation Intel Core processor on the PC Station, so that the device can run as a standalone Android 4.2 tablet and a Windows 8 desktop PC all at once when the display (aka Tablet) and keyboard (aka PC Station) are detached from the laptop mode. You can switch between Windows and Android 4.2 OS by pressing the dedicated “Trio” key on the keyboard when you are using the laptop mode.
To use the Trio as a desktop PC, just connect the PC Station to any external monitor display with either a Mini Display Port or Micro HDMI. The Trio also comes with wireless connectivity including 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 in the PC Station, plus 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 in the tablet display. There isn’t a version with 3G or LTE connectivity yet.
