Rev Up Singapore! is back again this year. This initiative by Singapore GP to help create the excitement & interest for Formula One across the island and knowledge sharing through a series of FREE programmes leading up to the actual race in September.
This year’s fan-friendly initiatives include three new programmes – Karting Training Programme and Championship, Rev Up Singapore! Kartnival and Pit Stop @ The Libraries – as well as enhanced initiatives that were well received last year. These include the Thursday Pit Lane Experience, behind the scenes tours of the Marina Bay Street Circuit, and Singapore GP school visits.
18 September 2014 – Thursday Pit Lane Experience
2,500 members of the public will get to experience a Pit Lane walk for a privileged view of the Formula One garages up-close, as well as the F1 Village in Zone 1 of the Marina Bay Street Circuit, before the Circuit Park opens for the actual race day.

11 June to 30 August 2014 – Karting Training Programme and Championship
120 students will be trained in the fundamentals of racing with specialised theory and practical workshops. The rookies will then test their mettle in the Championship finals at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
The top driver in each category will win a year-long karting scholarship sponsored by KF1 Pte Ltd and Singapore GP Pte Ltd, consisting of an SMSA karting license, practice sessions, full race gear, and entry to the 2015 KF1 official races in Singapore worth S$11,850 (per person).
Who Can Participate? Students aged 15 to 21 years with no prior karting experience. Participants must be Singaporeans or Singapore residents, physically fit and meet a minimum height limit of 1.55m

21 August 2014 – Rev Up Singapore! Kartnival
Members of the public will be able to try their hand at go-karting for free, in celebration of Singapore Tourism Board’s Tourism50 campaign.Participants will enjoy a ten-minute karting session on the race track, with a total of 500 exclusive slots available on a first-come-first-served basis.
Who Can Participate? All Singaporeans and Singapore residents. Must be physically fit and meet a minimum height limit of 1.55m
How To Participate? First 250 participants who show up at the registration counter on 31 August 2014 at Marina Promenade, Turn 23 (near Singapore Flyer), 1 Republic Boulevard, Singapore 038975 at 12 pm and 5pm will enjoy a ten-minute karting session on the race track. A valid Singapore photo identification card (NRIC/Singapore Drivers’ License/EP) is required for onsite registration.
6 – 9 September 2014 – Behind The Scenes Tour
200 participants will get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience a first-hand look into the Paddock, team garages and hospitality homes, and even restricted areas like the Race Control room, podium and commentary booths.
