Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club is celebrating its silver jubilee this month. It is organising a week long Golf Festival with MST Golf from 21 to 27 March 2016.
The golf tournaments will be fun filled with a Double Pin Challenge, Golf Marathon, KLGCC Texas Scramble, Member’s Guest Day, Parent-Child competition, new golf equipment showcase and special golf members promotions, as well as promotions for golf equipment and apparel. Other activities include Beat the Pros, Longest Drive, Putting and Nearest to Pin Competitions.
KLGCC is located just eight kilometres from the heart of the city and was acquired by Sime Darby Property in 1997 which paved the way for major reconstruction of its West and East courses in 2008 and 2010 respectively. KLGCC has hosted major international golf tournaments as well as the Maybank Malaysia Open, the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia and the CIMB Classic. It is the only club in the world to have successfully hosted the European LPGA and PGA Tours within one year between 2013 and 2015.
This month, the inaugural BMW Malaysian Open, an international women’s tennis tournament, will be held at the KLGCC.
The KLGCC Resort encompasses 360 acres of phased development comprising retail, recreational and residential facilities alongside a 36-hole golf course. The East Residence with 128 low-rise luxury courtyard villas facing KLGCC East Course is presently completed.
