DBS is offering the experience of sailing to the public at Marina Bay for free on the last Saturday of the month starting from April to November this year. DBS hopes to make Marina Bay more accessible to the community. Each sail boat can take up to four people is manned by a skipper who would also teach you a few tips on sailing.
DBS has collaborated with Singapore Sailing Federation who are providing the boats as well as the Urban Redevelopment Authority who manages the Marina Bay precinct.
You can register a spot on the sail boat at http://www.dbs.com/community/dbsmarinabaysailing and enjoy the splendid views of Marina Bay Sands, Marina Bay Financial Centre, Fullerton Precinct as well as the Marina Bay hotels and shopping precinct.
[UPDATE] Another 800 slots have been made available through additional sailing sessions on 11 May, 14 September and 16 November. Tickets for these sessions will be made available two months prior to the sail date.
DBS plans to spend S$10 million over the next three years to engage the community which encompasses the DBS Marina Bay Sailing Programme, the DBS Marina Regatta in May, the POSB PAssion Run for Kids in September and the DBS Social Enterprise Special at the end of 2013.
