Twitter removes the 140-character limit for Twitter direct messages allowing you to say more in your private conversations. Over the last few months, the microblogging site has enabled an option to receive Direct Messages from anyone, as well as group Direct Messages.

Unfortunately, the public side of Twitter continues to be limited to the 140 characters.

To use the improved Twitter Direct Messages function, remember to update the latest version of the app on Android and iOS. The change to Direct Messages will also be rolled out today on twitter.com, TweetDeck and Twitter for Mac and will continue to roll out world wide over the coming weeks.
