POPE BENEDICT XVI TWIITER ACCOUNT

13 December 2012, Vatican City –  The head of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Benedict XVI is the first pope to tweet.  He sent out his first tweet yesterday.

 

 

This was Benedict XVI’s first tweet, published after the blessing that concluded yesterday’s general audience. Using a table to tweet, the message was transmitted in eight languages (English, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Polish and Arabic).

The Holy Father already has close to one million followers on Twitter.
