18 April 2012, Singapore – Caltex launches the ‘Caltex PAssion for Kids’ programme for children from low-income families together with the People’s Association PAssion Card.
The programme to inspire learning and give underprivileged children the opportunity to gain knowledge, develop new skills and be exposed to new ways of learning will see the participants discovering their personal breakthroughs and self-empowerment in a five-day workshop ‘Drive for Success’ by PA Kiddies and mind development institute MindChamps.
80 Primary Five students selected by PA will participate in team building and lecture-styled activities to help them through a self-reflection journey to shift their focus from ‘self’ to others so that they can overcome mental barriers to academic and social success. The ‘Drive for Success’ workshops will be conducted at selected Community Clubs during the September school holidays. MindChamps trainers will work with these 80 students over the five-day course.
In the months of April and May 2012, Caltex will donate S$1 to the Caltex PAssion for Kids programme every S$50 worth of petrol pumped at Caltex stations here in Singapore. Caltex targets to raise S$60,000 to fund the workshop.
PAssion Card members enjoy an additional 13% discount on petrol at Caltex stations in Singapore. Just produce your PAssion Card together with the discount vouchers in the quarterly newsletter or by printing the vouchers below.
