23 September 2011, Singapore – Canon revealed a new telephoto lens, with an extensive zoom range that allows you to get intimately close to the action from a safe distance. The new EF-S 55 – 250 mm f/4-5.6 IS II telephoto lens also lets nature, wildlife and sports photo enthusiasts enjoy the benefit of the crop factor to get maximum detail at long distances.

- Canon’s four-stop Image Stabilization technology lets you take photos in low light settings with ease and with automatic panning detection helps you take high speed objects

Enhanced Mobility and Environmentally Friendly –
- Weighs 390g, this lens is affordable and versatile for general-purpose telephoto photography
- All of the glass elements used in the lens’ optics are lead free
This lens will be available in early October at authorized Canon dealers at a recommended retail price of S$499.
