Taylor Swift – Most Honoured Winner Ever For Teen Choice Awards

August 2011, Los Angeles – Taylor Swift bagged six new surfboard trophies awards at the 2011 Teen Choice Awards earlier this month, bringing her total number of career Teen Choice wins to the lucky number 13.   She is by far the most-honoured winner in the history of the Teen Choice Awards.

Taylor, whose Ultimate Choice award presentation included an introduction by her friend Emma Stone and a touching video tribute, received the coveted award in recognition of her extraordinary contributions to the music and entertainment industry. The discretionary award is not handed out every year, and past honorees include Justin Timberlake, Adam Sandler, Mike Myers, and Reese Witherspoon.

Here’re the awards she won:

  • Choice Music: Female Artist
  • Choice Music: Female Country Artist
  • Choice Music: Country Single
  • Choice Break-Up Song – “Back to December”
  • Choice Red Carpet Fashion Icon: Female
  • The Ultimate Choice Award

Taylor flew overnight to Los Angeles from Philadelphia to attend the awards, after making the fifth stadium stop on the US portion of her Speak Now World Tour. She played Saturday night in Philly to a sold-out crowd of over 51,000 fans at Lincoln Financial Field, with the Philadelphia Inquirer dubbing the show “an ‘Enchanted’ evening.”

Taylor’s Speak Now album is the #1-selling album in all genres of music over the past 12 months.
