The New Adventures of Aladin (‘Les Nouvelles aventures d’Aladin’) starts of with Sam and his best buddy Khalid dressing up as Santa to steal as much as they can from a department store on Christmas Eve. Sam gets cornered by some children and he has to tell them a story of his version of Aladin.
Sam takes on the character of Aladin and heads to the heart of Baghdad, the city of a thousand and one riches. Behind the colourful folklore, the people are suffering the tyranny of the terrible Vizir, known for his curelty and his dubious breath.
Aladin is helped by his genie but will they be able to thwart the Vizir’s diabolical plans, save Khalid and win the heart of Princess Shallia.
The New Adventures of Aladin directed by Arthur Benzaquen stars Kev Adams, Jean-Paul Rouve, Vanessa Guide, William Lebghil and Audrey Lamy. The comedy drama will be screened in theatres from 17 March 2016. It is rated PG13 with some sexual references and coarse language and runs for 106 minutes.
