Prudential Launches PRUSafe Dengue plan & Improved Pulse Mobile App

Did you know that Dengue Fever is still a rising threat in Singapore? Trust someone who was discharged from hospital for dengue last year. You don’t want to catch Dengue.

Prudential launched PRUSafe Dengue and a new PRUShoppe on 28 December 2020. At S$5 for three months, PRUSafe Dengue offers benefits for Singapore Residents age 18 to 69 years old. You can purchase this on the Pulse by Prudential digital health and wellness app.

PruSafe Dengue Benefits

  1. Coverage of S$20,000 against death due to Dengue Fever
  2. S$200 hospital cash benefit
  3. S$500 get well benefit

There is a 10-day waiting period before benefits are payable. You can renew or repurchase the plan every three months. To celebrate the launch, the first 2,000 customers who purchase PRUSafe Dengue will receive a S$5 Watsons online shopping voucher.

Out of the over 30,000 cases last year, there were 29 deaths. The Aedes aegypti mosquito population was still high in some areas at the end of last year. Hence, we just have to continue to be vigilant and do our part to avoid another dengue outbreak this year. It is a community effort.

Pulse by Prudential Digital Health and Wellness App

Prudential Singapore launched the Pulse by Prudential digital health and wellness app on 23 April 2020. After that, it released a refreshed version late last year with more features.

Prudential launched Pulse in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia on 8 August 2019. In addition, the app is also available in Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

The app is available on Apple and Android devices. Download it to check symptoms or conduct a digital health assessment so you can understand future risks. Seek timely health advice at any time and from anywhere. Consult a doctor via Video Consultation at a flat fee of S$15 from the app.

UK-based Babylon and Singapore-based MyDoc back the in-app health and wellness features.

Other PRUSafe Products That Covers Breast or Prostate Cancer

Women between 19 and 39 years old can purchase PRUSafe Breast Cancer. From S$9, get 12 months coverage of S$10,000 for all stages of breast cancer. Men are not left out. Men aged 19 to 39 can purchase coverage under the PRUSafe ProstateCancer plan. Premiums start from S$5 for 12 months coverage of S$10,000 against all stages of prostate cancer.

Do take note. There is a waiting period of 90 days from the cover start date of both products. Furthermore, there is a survival period of seven days upon diagnosis of cancer before you can claim. And you do not need to go for medical checks to purchase these two plans.
