Great Eastern has launched the GREAT Covid Care Plan, a free post-Covid-19 vaccination protection plan for Singapore residents who have completed the first Covid-19 vaccine dose approved for use by the Health Sciences Authority or supplied through the Special Access Route. They include citizens and permanent residents or holders of a valid employment pass or dependant’s pass residing in Singapore. Children who have been vaccinated are also covered.
What is Covered under the GREAT Covid Care Plan
The plan provides a cash payout of S$200 per day of hospitalisation in Singapore or overseas due to Covid-19 after one has been vaccinated, up to S$2,000. This will provide additional peace of mind for Singaporeans who may travel for work or leisure, and for overseas residents returning to their home country for visits as countries start to open up. Coverage is for 12 months from the date of registration or when the individual receives his or her first dose of Covid-19 vaccine, whichever is later.
Register on Great Eastern’s website to activate the free coverage by 30 September 2021. Eligible recipients will receive their GREAT Covid Care insurance certificate via email. Complete your first vaccination dose by 31 December 2021 to qualify for coverage. Existing customers of Great Eastern will be hearing from their financial representatives.
This plan complements the coverage provided by the S$1 million GREAT Vaccine Fund launched in January this year. It is the latest support measure that the local insurer has rolled out with the progression of the Covid-19 vaccination programme in Singapore.
