Etiqa Insurance Extends Coverage for Covid-19 Vaccination Side Effects

Etiqa Insurance Singapore has introduced a free financial support benefit to cover side effects of Covid-19 vaccination. Effective since 15 February 2021, Etiqa Insurance will pay up to S$1,000 over a maximum 10 days for hospitalisation in a public or private hospital in Singapore as well as an Intensive Care Unit benefit for up to S$1,000 over 5 days due to an allergic reaction solely as a result of Covid-19 Vaccine that is certified by a medical practitioner.

This benefit is introduced after the Seven Integrated Shield Plan Insurers To Cover Hospitalisation from Covid-19 Vaccination Complications since January 2021.

Hospitalisation Benefit
If the Insured Person is hospitalised due to the side effects from COVID-19 Vaccine, Etiqa will provide the hospitalisation benefit of S$100 per day, up to S$1,000.

If the Insured Person is hospitalised and warded in the ICU due to the side effects from COVID-19 Vaccine, Etiqa will provide the ICU benefit of S$200 per day, up to S$1,000.

Existing and new policy holders of these Personal Lines Insurance policies under Etiqa Singapore and are between 17 and 70 years old on the date of the first Covid-19 vaccine dose are eligible:

  • Personal Cyber
  • Home Content
  • Maid
  • Motor
  • Personal Accident (Annual)
  • Travel (Annual)
