Tiong Bahru Bakery has opened its latest and fourth outlet at the Holland Village precinct earlier this month. Located just behind Holland Village Mall at Chip Bee Gardens, Tiong Bahru Bakery here is inspired by an old-school local candy store.
Customers can take away the signature croissant, kouign amann, baguettes and other bread & pastries as well as beverages from the Takeaway Express Lane located in front of the store just behind the alfresco counter.
The store can seat 70 inside and 10 outside. House-designed tiles “Home of the Handmade Croissant” cover one section of the bakery’s wall while the other wall spots a wall mural of three wise monkeys by local artist Y/X.
Pastry Chef Samy Loison has created Merah saga, a tangy berry tart named after the street of the new outlet. Merah Saga, pictured in the first photo in this post, is prepared with raspberries, red currants and raspberry confit with gold leaf on a sable breton crust with vanilla cream. The Merah Saga will be available till end July at S$9.50 each.
The latest Tiong Bahru Bakery is located at 43 Jalan Merah Saga, #01-74, Singapore 278115 and operates from 8 am to 8 pm daily.
