Following on its successful Chinese New Year high tea earlier this year, the Tian Fu Tea Room (ParkRoyal, Beach and Kitchener roads) launches its Christmas high tea.
From now till 31 Jan 2015, at only S$38.80 per person, a steal really, for a bespoke bird’s nest dim sum! (Almost like robbing a bird’s nest, all right, no protests please from you eco lot!) The Sparkling Imperial High Tea, in a setting quite imperial, is nine dim sum items married to two premium Chinese tea brews and a glass of sparkling wine, each.
A clear delight from the surfeit of turkey and trimmings and yule log cream cakes. The customised bird’s nest, Long Ming Xuan, was hatched thanks to actress Vicki Zhao who has since settled on our shores.
Said Mr Lawrence Tan, Long Ming Xuan’s co-founder, “Vicki Zhao wanted bird’s nest specially selected for its properties for her, so we obliged.”
You too can savour the hand-picked nutritious delicacy in prawn dumpling, seafood dumpling, double-boiled with winter melon, and other plates of delectation. Here’s to health and beauty, morsel by morsel.
