The 10th edition of Negroni Week in Singapore will be fronted by 10 representing bartenders alongside their Negroni Handshake as a celebration of creativity, hospitality and the bittersweet constant of the iconic cocktail – Campari. The annual initiative by Campari Group and Imbibe Magazine sees over 60 venues across Singapore during the week offering creative renditions of the classic cocktail. Negroni Week happens from 12 to 18 September 2022, and every Negroni that you imbibe at these bars will see a portion of proceeds donated to their choice of charity.
Campari Group Asia has recruited 10 local bars to lead this year’s campaign including Caffe Fernet, Nutmeg & Clove, Smoke & Mirrors, The Bar at 15 Stamford, Atlas, Anti:Dote, 28 Hong Kong Street, O/T Bar, Trapizza and Southbridge.
Negroni Week Opening Party at Cafe Fernet on 11 September from 5pm to 9pm
Kicking off the week-long activation will be the Opening Party at Caffe Fernet. Held on Sunday 11 September, Negroni fans and cocktail lovers are invited to partake in Negroni themed activities which include a Negroni battle between an all Italian cast of bartenders from the Jigger & Pony group.
Win a Year of Negroni at Opus Bar & Grill from 5 to 24 September
In collaboration with the folks at Opus Bar & Grill, Campari Group Asia will be setting up a Campari Table Photo Booth with décor elements for an Instagram-worthy shot. As means to incentivise participation, one lucky winner with the best photo tagging @opusbarandgrill and #NegroniWeekOpusBarandGrill will stand to win complimentary full serves of Negroni for every subsequent visit across the year.
Negroni Free-Flow at Gio on 13 September from 7 pm to 11.59 pm
Come Tuesday 13 September, GIO (Gourmet Italian Osteria) – an Italian restaurant at Tanjong Pagar – will be having a free-flow Negroni night. Priced at just S$48++, diners or drink seekers around the CBD area can look forward to drinking an endless serve of the bittersweet and spirit-forward classic from dinner till late.
SMOKE & MIRRORS Guestshift at Publico on 17 September from 12 pm to 3 pm
The Italian brunch at Publico Ristorante just got boozier. On the 17 Saturday noon of 17 September, bartenders Edu Zamora and Mel John Chavez are set for a 3-hour brunch shift where they will be serving up an array of Negroni specials along with their representing Handshake Negroni for guests craving a bittersweet hit. From 12th September to 25th September, diners may also enjoy the ‘Table 10’ experience at Publico Ristorante – an intimate, Campari-branded space, featuring a selection of Negroni specials in celebration of Campari and Negroni Week.
