The ever popular weekend Brunch at Cut Catch Cucina in the luxurious Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua starts from IDR 399,000++ per person. What used to be only Sunday brunch at Cut Catch Cucina has been extended to Saturdays as well. It has been listed as Top 10 Best Brunches in the World by Conde Nast Traveler in 2014.
We had a chance to enjoy the buffet spread in the company of great friends. With a fine selection from a fresh seafood grill, a NYC style steakhouse and a modern Italian Osteria with free flow Lanson champagne, wines and soft drinks, you better come hungry.
You can also order some mains from the ala carte menu as part of the buffet. Breakfast items such as Egg cocotte, butter poached crayfish with osteria caviar or eggs benedict, champagne ham and smoked salmon are available amongst others. Pan seared foie gras, 250 day grain fed cube roll, Australian lamb two ways or sage butter chicken balontine are in the meats selection. Pan seared scallop mousse, seared mahi mahi, butter poached lobster tail with squid ink tagliolini or crispy soft shell crab are in the seafood menu. I love the butter poached lobster tail with squid ink tagliolini best.
Servings may be small otherwise how would you be able to try everything on the menu.
What I personally like about the brunch is the proactive staff. Food gets served to you when you least expect it.
You get access to the pool and meals for up to two kids under the age of 12 with accompanying adults. After that you can continue on for sundown drinks at Nikki Beach Club, Bali which opened late last year.
The Sunday brunch is always full so making reservations is necessary. Even people who are not staying at the Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua are flocking over for brunch here.
The Magnifique Week-end Brunch is available every Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 3pm. Brunch with non alcoholic drinks is priced at IDR 399,000++ per person. Brunch with Alcohol including wine is priced at IDR599,000++ per person. Go all the way with premium alcohol including wine and champagne at IDR 1,299,000++ per person.
I am looking forward to going back for weekend brunch again when I next visit Bali.
