The annual Sakura Afternoon Tea returns from 1 March to 2 May 2021 as Conrad Centennial Singapore welcomes the season of Spring and the advent of Cherry Blossoms. This is available from Mondays to Thursdays from 1 pm to 5 pm and Fridays to Sundays with two seatings at 1 pm to 3 pm or 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

We look forward to this Afternoon Tea after we tried this for the first time in 2020, and enjoyed the experience. Enjoy a selection of sweets and savouries with a choice of Brazilian coffees or Ronnefeldt teas. If you are picking teas as your choice of beverage, let me recommend the Morgentau blend of Sencha, flower petals with a subtle fruity flavour of mango and lemon. The Milky Oolong Chinese tea is an interesting yet flavourful tea with a wonderful natural creamy taste. The leaves are milk steamed and carefully rolled.

The Sakura Afternoon Tea Sweets

The sweets are quite similar to what was served in 2020. Amongst the desserts are the Red Velvet Sakura and Raspberry Marmalade, Sakura Jus with Almond Sponge, Sakura Mont Blanc, Japanese Rice with Sakura Mouse, Sakura and Classic scones with Strawberry Jam, Honey and Clotted Cream.

The Savouries

This year’s new savouries include Asian Crabmeat with Sakura Flower – Marinated Radish Roll & Tobiko; Smoked Salmon, Sakura Cheese, Spiced Avocado Mousse on Savoury Eclair; Chicken Liver Pâté, Saffron Cream and Citrus Sakura – Cranberry Marmalade Puff; and Signature Sakura Crème Cheese and Crackers.
