Pizza Celebration will be held at Raffles Courtyard at Raffles Hotel Singapore from 11 to 16 October. Italian Pizzaolo expert Riccardo Scaioli has flown in from Italy to serve his signature specialty pizzas from across Italy. Riccardo is a pizza and bread maker in Italy and has opened more than 30 pizzerias throughout Italy and trained hundreds of chefs.
11 October – Enjoy Scrocchiarella pizza from the island of Sicily topped with marinated octopus, burrata, lemon sauce, radicchio and cherry tomatoes on a thin and crunchy base.
12 October – Pizza Alla Romana is a recreation of the authentic Roman experience. The rustic pizza with a thick and crunchy base is topped with tomaotes, mozzarella, parmesan, garlic, oil, spicy salami and rosemary.
You get to enjoy pizza from Genoa, Venice, the Amalfi and Naples the rest of the week. You have to try the Pizza Napoletana – a pizza with a crisp layer yet soft with tomatoes, mozzarella di bufala, roasted tomatoes, roasted peppers, black olives, capers and oregano on the inside.
Freshly made garden salads, hand made pasta and home made gelato are also available at Raffles Courtyard. The alfresco dining area is open daily from noon to 10pm.
