Pierre Hermé who is heir to four generations of Alsatian bakery and pastry-making traditions, began his career at the age of 14 as an apprentice to Gaston Lenôtre. The pastries are famous in France, Japan and the United States and employs 450 employees with 32 sales outlets. Pierre Hermé Paris was established 15 years ago by Pierre Hermé and Charles Znaty. It’s Paris boutique opened in Tokyo in 1998, Paris in 2001 and Hong Kong at ifc Mall in May last year and Habour City in September last year.
The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong will be serving up creations from Pierre Hermé Paris’ Fetish Infiniment Citron collection from 15 to 31 August for afternoon tea daily from 3.30pm to 7pm. Dubbed the Pierre Hermé Paris Infiniment Citron Afternoon Tea, you can expect pastries using Sicilian lemons made freshly by a Pierre Hermé Paris Executive Pastry Chef from Japan, together with Executive Pastry Chef Richard Long from The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong.
Chef de Cuisine Brook Wong will also be creating a selection of savoury bites to compliment the Pierre Hermè creations.
