1. 1855 Wine & Whisky Week
From 8 to 13 November 2016, 1855 will be holding Singapore’s largest Wine & Whisky Event right in Suntec City. 1855 members and VIPs can look forward to the Members Night on 8 November 2016, from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. where you will be treated to an exclusive preview of fine wines and whiskies at special prices, live cooking demo by Chef Daniel Chavez (OLA Cocina Del Mar) at S$15/person (member) and S$25/person (for non-members, accompanied by member). Tickets can be purchased at any 1855 outlet.

2. Whisky Live 2016
The 7th edition of South-East Asia’s premier whisky and spirits event is back. Presented by La Maison du Whisky, Whisky Live 2016 is back at the Capella Hotel from 12 to 13 November 2016. Events include a once-in-a-lifetime chance to experience the Glenfiddich distillery in Dufftown, Scotland through a unique VR tour followed by a tasting in the main hall area, Monkey Shoulder’s Jay Gray will also be offering up an enticing offering of whisky-based cocktails in his very own Monkey Shoulder Drinks Trolley and so much more. Not to be missed is the “Succession”, an exhibition by acclaimed photographer James Stroud. He will be taking visitors through the Balvenie distillery through five unique art pieces portraying the spirit of craftmenship.
Tickets go for S$99/day for regular to S$169/day for VIP. A 2 Day VIP pass can be purchased for S$239.

3. Margaret River First Class in a Glass
Experience Western Australia’s Margaret River region with their inaugural “First Class in a Glass” wine event. With the region alone producing 20% of Australia’s premium wine, Singapore will be in for a treat. Restaurants and bars including Smoke & Mirrors, Tippling Club, Lewin Terrace, Praelum and so on will be holding exclusive one-off events in partnership with the wineries.
Expect wine matching dinners to lighthearted wine “battles”, with regular mini prize lucky draws held on a fortnightly basis throughout the campaign (from now till 15 February 2017). The ultimate prize will be a return flight via Singapore Airlines for two, from Singapore to Perth, along with three nights’ luxury accommodation, a full day wine tour, dining experiences, caving and more.

4. Gallery & Co. Pop Bar
National Gallery Singapore wants all the take it easy in their island life inspired Pop Bar, happening from 1 November 2016 to 2 January 2017. There, guests will get to enjoy breezy concoctions, pork ribs and spam musubis against a chill backdrop of 80s. 90s or bubblegum pop tunes while enjoying the stunning night view from the padang.

5. Gibson World Collaboration Menu
In celebration of their first anniversary, Gibson bar launches their World Collaboration Menu. It will include five cocktails, created by team work of fifteen craftsmen from six countries. The signature drink, The Gibson gets an upgrade with Aki partnering up with Diageo Global World Class Winner 2015 and owner of Lamp Bar Nara, Michito Keneko and an exclusive Ginjo Sake-Vermouth. Rhyse Borland of Sugarhall also teams up with 2013 winner, David Rios and Restaurant Mugaritz in Spain to create the watermelon-based Beachside Boardwalk. Each cocktail will cost S$23, and will be available from now onwards.

6. Alchemist Beer Lab Launches New Tapas Menu
Alchemist Beer Lab ups their game of infused beers with a new modern European tapas menu. Must haves include the Duck Fat Fries (S$12) and Smoked Wagyu Brisket Tortilla (s$16), both of which are perfect with their Hopzilla and Obama (S$12/15 for 330mL). Read more about them in our review here.

7. Loof, Rooftop Bar’s Revamped Menu by Bjorn Shen
If you are near Odeon Towers, then do yourself a favour and head on over to Loof. Bjorn Shen’s new menu for this decade old roof top bar is fantastic, and comes with an expanded menu of pun-ny drinks. Read more about it in our review here.

8. Amoy St. Bloc Party
Home-grown Spa Espirit Group collaborates with New Kids on the Bloc, Ding Dong, boCHINChe, Employess Only, Le Binchotan, Burger Joint, Maggie Joan’s and Gemmils to bring us a bustling street festival on 20 November 2016. Expect tons of fun, food and drinks alongside live performances and music acts from DJ KFC and DJ Roscius.

9. The Black Swan launches Alfresco Garden Patio
CBD’s The Black Swan gets a swanky new alfresco space and celebrates its launch with a new Happy Hour promotion. House pours, house wines and selected beers will go for S$9++ alongside their S$2++ oysters, on all weekdays from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. The restaurant will also boast a new expanded chophouse menu, including premium cuts of Pure Black Angus Prime Rib Steak, dry aged for 60 days grilled over an ample bed of Bincho-tan. Other decadent add ons include Grilled Half Maine Lobster and chilli-flecked Bone Marrow cubes.

10. Red Tail Bar By Zouk Singapore
Named after the nocturnal Asian Red Tail Panda, Zouk Singapore’s Red Tail Bar will be serving up an array of contemporary Asian sharing plates alongside craft cocktails, beers and wines. Head Chef Meng works with owner and director of Park Bench Deli, Chef Ming Tan to bring Clarke Quay a diners dishes such as Yun Cheong Thin Crust Pizza, Fried Chicken Skin tossed in salted egg yolk sauce and Shoe String Fries with lup cheong as a topping. The drinks are created in collaboration with Proof & Co. and includes signature concoctions of Uphill Ding Dong, a gin-based drink reminiscent of Hong Kong’s “Ding Ding” trams and Wild Pearl, a Soju and dry vermouth-based drink with homemade sesame syrup and sesame oil.

11. Weekend Dim Sum Buffet With Laurent-Perrier Champagne at Hai Tien Lo
Enjoy a buffet of more than 60 dim creations and signature a la carte delicacies with a glass of Laurent-Perrier Champagne at Hai Tien Lo, Pan Pacific Hotel. Executive Chef Lai Tong Ping recommends his Double-boiled Mini Buddha Jumps Over The Wall and Braised Whole Abalone with Pearl Mushroom in Abalone sauce, while Dim Sum Chef Lee Siaw Cheen is proud to present authentic Cantonese flavours in the form of Fried Savory Dumplings with Dried Shrimps, Pan-fried Rice Flour Rolls with Dried Scallops in Chef’s Signature Homemade XO Chilli Sauce.
The buffet package runs on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays. It will include unlimited Laurent-Perrier Champagne, house wines, beers, juices and soft drinks at S$128/adult. Those who want to skip on the bubbly can go for the S$98/adult package, and the standard package goes for S$68/adult and S$38/child (6 to 11 years old).
