So I flew in over the weekend of 6 December 2014 for a night to check out the grand opening of Nikki Beach Bali located within Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua, Bali. Yes, now you don’t have to fly to Miami Beach, Ibiza, St Tropez, or Marrakech amongst, the club’s 12 locations.
Indeed a decadent lifestyle with fabulous company. Dressed in all white from top to bottom, we were a little taken aback by the slight drizzle and wet grounds. Taking a slow breezy walk from Club Millesime at the Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua, we arrived at the grounds of the Nikki Beach Bali which is located at the beach front at the furthest end of the hotel resort. Opposite the Nikki Beach Bali is the yet to complete Chapel that the owners of Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua hope to complete by January 2015.
Thank goodness for fabulous company I had from Singapore and Australia. We had fun amongst ourselves at an otherwise lack lustre early ours of the Grand Opening White Party. Most were just sitting around in their groups having some bites and lots of alcohol. I was hoping to see some of Nikki Beach’s VIP or celebrity clientelle that usually turn up at Nikki Beach’s opening parties but was unsuccessful.
Nevertheless it was still a fabulous weekend getaway.
Bali is Nikki Beach’s 12th permanent beach club and restaurant location in the world. It is modelled after the same look and feel of all of its locations around the world. Designed by world renowned architectural design firm WATG, Nikki Beach Bali is spacious and adorned in plush, all white sun beds with indoor and outdoor dining options, opium beds and multiple bars including a swim-up cocktail bar.
Nikki Beach Bali joins other popular clubs such as Kudeta and Potato Head in the island of Bali but remains one of the biggest in Nusa Dua which is a distance away from Seminyak which houses the other clubs.
If you ask me, I think this is another option for hotel guests to enjoy. The Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua already has a nice pool and pool bar which you could swim from your pool access rooms which I enjoy the quiet recluse.
Nikki Beach Bali will also offer its signature parties throughout the year including The Champagne World Tour, Sun Kissed Saturdays, Amazing Sunday Brunch, Brazillian Party and Welcome to St. Tropez party among others.
Given another chance, I’ll like to visit Nikki Beach Bali again with my friends to chill out and have some champers as we watch the sun set and enjoy the breezy Balinese beach air. Or perhaps, I should visit the club’s other Asian locations at Phuket (opened January 2014) or Koh Samui (opened in 2009).
