In the mood for Thai? Melt Café at the Mandarin Oriental, Singapore has a limited-time Thai section at their popular dinner buffet spread till 19 March 2017. The dinner buffet inclusive of free flow of juices is priced at S$75++ per person from Sunday to Thursdays and S$85++ per person on Friday and Saturday.
Thai dishes featured at the buffet include Thai Glass Noodle Salad with Shrimp and Lime Chilli Dressing or the Green Papaya Salad with Crushed Peanuts, Dried Shrimps, Long Beans, Tomatoes, Chilli Padi and Nam Pla from the Som Tam Hut live station. Try the Chiang Mai-style lemongrass roasted duck or the pork belly green curry and beef in yellow curry. One of my favourite is the Kha Gai soup with coconut milk. And if you have craving for noodles, there’s always the beef noodle soup with kway teow.
The Thai dishes are an add on to the mainstays at the buffet spread including my all-time favourite Indian cuisine section. There is also fresh seafood on ice, a Japanese section and a western section.
Dinner is served from 6.30pm to 9.30pm daily.
