The inaugural season of MasterChef Asia will feature aspiring home-cooks from China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. The 15-episode series is being produced in Singapore and is set to air later this year, with Season 1 presented by Singapore Tourism Board and Knorr, in association with Panasonic, Changi Airport Group and Carlton Hotel Singapore.
MasterChef Asia is based on the original format by Franc Roddam and represented international by Endemol Shine Group.
A+E Networks Asia announced the line-up of judges which include Hong Kong-born culinary genius and owner-chef of four highly-rated restaurants in Canada Susur Lee , three-Michelin Starred chef Bruno Mènard at L’Osier in Tokyo-based French restaurant and culinary TV personality and Singapore-born, Audra Morrice, a MasterChef Australia finalist.
