This 5th food & wine fair ends Sun 13 Aug, and if you enjoy great food, from international celebrity chefs, this weekend spent in the food halls of Sands Expo & Convention Centre is a no-brainer. In fact, it is a satisfied-stomacher.
The MBS Epicurean Market is simply the best way for gourmands & peckers & nibblers and the hungry to sample from global top chefs’ tables at one sitting. The “signature restos” include Waku Ghin (Tetsuya Wakuda), Wolfgang Puck’s Spago, and Cut, Bread Street Kitchen (Gordon Ramsay), db Bistro & Oyster Bar (Daniel Boulud). And Mario Batali & Nancy Silverton, and David Myers, and David Thompson. They alone will keep you feeling filling (I might just break into song…). Eight bars, and 31 wine people.
And the marketplace. The Farmers Market has the most painterly fruit & veg, top of the table quality. And see if you can prise away one of the collectable tin mugs with your order of teh kopi.
