Marymount Bakehouse in Race Course Road

Marymount Bakehouse opens with dine-in space at Race Course Road

Marymount Bakehouse has relocated to a charming new space at 421 Race Course Road.We discovered the spot a few weeks ago while test-driving the Zeekr X, parking right in front of it. Though we had plans to dine at Bolan Sichuan Restaurant nearby, our plans shifted—more on that in another story!

Launched as a home-based venture during the Covid pandemic, the café officially opened in September 2024.

Now housed in its own standalone cafe, chef-owner Ferdinand Chong and partner Ong Jingwen invite you to indulge in a full sourdough experience. This move from their previous Sin Ming location, where they shared space with Mr Bucket, offers a larger, more welcoming environment for diners to enjoy and purchase freshly baked sourdough breads, pies, and desserts such as the French-style Apple & Rhubarb Custard Pie from S$15.90 for 4 inch).

The menu is a true delight, featuring dishes like the Basque Tartine (S$28), Sourdough Parisian Gnocchi with Pumpkin & Crab (S$24), and the Lemon Cream Morel & Broccolini Peasant-Style Sourdough Pasta (S$22).

We grabbed a sourdough to take home but will definitely be back to sample the dishes on our next visit.
